"Stonewall" is an abstract mixed media, encaustic piece that was inspired by the 50th anniversary of the historic Stonewall uprising in New York City. This piece is intended to invoke a sense of gay pride and celebrate this historic moment in time that helped pave the way for the modern gay rights movement.

Textured, melted wax encases the gay flag, giving it a weathered appearance. The weathered effect of the wax symbolizes the time that has passed; while simultaneously protecting it, encapsulating it as an important moment in history, one that should never be forgotten.
